Selected by BAFTA for their prestigious Elevate scheme. I’ve met some wicked film makers like Martin Scorsese and learnt so much.
So I am watching lots of brilliant films! Thank you BAFTA.
Tommy has won several BEST ACTOR AWARDS for FIGHTER and DOWN & OUT, received an HONOURABLE MENTION for his acting talent from the European Film Festival Koszalin, Poland for INNOCENCE. Fighter won BEST FILM at Film London and was SHORT OF THE WEEK at the BFI London Film Festival.
These short films, in which Tommy plays lead roles, have been shown in festivals in the UK, Europe, and the US and won significant awards.
Tommy indeed felt honoured to be awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Winchester for services to the performing arts.
Here Ben Reid (Director) and I are discussing Down syndrome representation in film. Here is some of what I said: “Acting truly is a great passion in my life. I loved playing a character with such powerful emotions.. I can literally play anything you can throw at me.”
